ADANA – Hundrends of people gathered and said, “Don’t touch my will” under the leadership of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and the Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) in Adana.
Hundrends of people gathered and protested the attacks on representatives and the proposal for the lifting of immunities of parliamentarians of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) under the leadership of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and the Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) in Adana. The citizens gathered in İnönü Park and unforled the banner reads “Don’t touch my representatives and my will” and shouted the slogans such as, “Long live the fraternity of peoples”and “Don’t touch my will”. The HDP Province co-chair Gülseren Tural stated that a policy has been carried out to make the HDP MPs without will. She said that the people, who didn’t recognize the people’s will in the election on June 7, step up the process of lifting of immunities.
Gülseren emphasized that the people didn’t surrender their will despite all the injustice practices in the November election. The legislative immunity must be a democratic right that aims to guarantee the elected politicians to express their thought. The representatives are responsible to represent the will of their voters.”
After the statement, the people staged a 10-minute sit down.
