Dicle News Agency (DİHA) reporters Nedim Türfent and Şermin Soydan have been detained in Van. Nedim Türfent, who had been continuously targeted and threatened by state forces, was detained after state forces stopped the car he was travelling in at the entrance of Van. Şermin Soydan, meanwhile, was detained while on her way to news coverage in the central of Van.

According to the initial reports, both reporters have been detained within the scope of an investigation and taken to the anti-terror branch in the central Edremit district of Van.
