DERSİM - Dersim women reacted to the "curfews" which have been declared in many cities of Kurdistan for "security" reasons and said, "The state kills all living thing. These massacres must stop."

As 24-hour "curfew" has continued in Şırnak and Nusaybin for more than two months, curfews are declared in the villages and districts and the areas have been bombed. Meanwhile, the entrance and exits of many areas have been banned by being declared as "private security zones".The people even cannot feed their animals in rural areas, medows and ranges where have been banned under the name of "private security zones". The ecosystem has been damaged in the bombed areas. Lastly, one-day curfew was declared in the 15 villages of Dersim's Mazgirt district. Dersim womenreacted to these practices by saying, "They have demolished the cities, and, to crown it all, they ban the villages. They kill all living thing. Where can we live? What does this state want from us?"

Fecire Tekin pointed out that the whole world bear withness to Cizre massacre. She reminded that the same policies had been imposed in 1990s ans she said, "I was in Sütlüce village in 1990s. The state forces had come to our village and they had tried to take us out from our village. They had killed our animals. We couldn't sleep in our home. We had to leave our village. State forces had burned everywhere and they had killed our animals in mews. We had to move to Dersim. However, everything becomes same with 1990s now. State forces have burned everywhere again. We bear withness to Cizre massacre. They burned the youth alive. What kind of atrocity is this? Enough, this blood must be stopped. We demand peace now. Don't let our children be killed."

Fidan Oduncu is another woman in Dersim. Her only means of livelihood is animal husbandry. Fidan said, "Let's stop this war. Don't let the mothers cry and the children die. State forces entered in Mazgirt five years ago. They took us out from there. We had to leave our village. State forces had killed tens of people and they are continuing to kill. When is this blood stopped? They burn all people without separating as youth, elderly people, women, civilians or children. We cannot go to yaylas and villages due to the state. (People move to their summer residences on the cool summer pastures called yaylas). We had to sell our animals. Our only means of livelihood is animal husbandry and the state is closing our way now. We want to return our village."

Elif Kılıç, meanwhile, said, "What does Tayyip want from us? He takes the people out from the villages by saying there is ban. We want to return our villages. They destroy the nature by bombing the mountains. This pressure must be stopped. We want peace in these lands."
