The citizens those who are waited for hours at the Yeniköprü gendarmerie checkpoints, reacted to the gendarmes's arbitrary search. The citizens reacted to the implementation by getting out of their cars. The soldiers attacked the citizens with TOMAs (Intervention Vehicles to Social Events) and battered many citizens.

The tension continues at the point where the citizens are waited under the name of control.
