'Everyone must take action for Şırnak'

AMED - Democratic Regions Party (DBP) announced that they will join the Şırnak march organized by the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and called on non-government organizations and citizens to march to Şırnak in order to break the siege on the city.

A march will be started for Şırnak where destruction and ban have continued, on June 16 at 10:00 a.m. in front of the building of the Democratic Society Congress by Democratic Society Congress (DTK). The Democratic Regions Party (DBP) announced that they will join the march. The DBP Diyarbakır administrator Leyla Ayaz talked concerning to the march. Leyla stated that the cities and districts have been demolished and annihilated in Kurdistan under the name of "curfew" for nearly a year. Leyla noted that Şırnak and the people have been damaged during the curfew. She said, "The ban continues despite the announcement of "Operation ended". Why has curfew been imposed while "operation ended" in the city? Houses and the city have continued to be demolished. Previous day, the DTK made a call. We announced our support to this call and we announced that we will join this march. We reiterate the call by calling all public to show awareness on this issue."

Leyla called on non-government organizations, political party representatives and citizens by saying, "We will go to Şırnak by gathering in front of the building of the DTK at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. We await all people to take action in order to lift the ban and stop the destruction."
