MANBIJ - As Manbij operation against the invasion of Daesh gangs' members has continued, people believe in the operation. Assembly has been formed in the liberated villages. Manbij People's Assembly member Emel Yusuf said, "The people, particulary women, don't accept the regime and Daesh here. They have chosen and accepted freedom."

The operation to liberate Manbij has continued under the name of "The operation of Commander Martyr Faysal Ebû Leyla" that began in June 1 by Manbij Military Council. We, as journalists, have witnessed this operation and tried to write the history of the operation. We take the notes of freedom. Manbij is a settlement center which three times larger than Kobanê where Turkmen, Kurds and Arab live. Manbij has been under control of Daesh for about two and half years. Manbij people resists against the invasion of Daesh gangs. That's why the bans are strict and penalties are severe there. Many massacres have been carried out in the city. Women aren't allowed to out without wearing black abayas. Watching TV, shaving and electricity aren't allowed in the city. However, Manbij people have never surrendered. They have continued to organize themselves.

As Resmil Akdar village was liberated, the people in the village began to organize themselves under People's Assembly with 43 people. There are four female council members in the assembly. They have provided the needs of people in food and medicine with support of Rojava Cantons. One member of the People's Assembly Selman Mahmud said, "This operation, began by Manbij Military Council with support of the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD), is different than other operations. The people believe in the assembly very much that they know they will be saved soon. Many people want to work in assembly. Our biggest problem is to meet the needs of the people in the war zone. We cannot reach some places. Meanwhile, many Manbij people have joined to Manbij Military Council to liberate their lands."

Three bakeries have been opened and several fuel distribution centers have been founded in the village.

Manbij People's Assembly member Emel Yusuf, meanwhile, said, "Manbij villages have been liberated with this operation for 15 days. We're playing our own role in this operation. We founded an assembly. As Peoples Assembly, we try to provide the needs of people by visiting each village. We are dressing the wound of people. Women have begun to smile with this operation. An ended life is reborn for women."

Emel stated that they have visited 100 villages until now and she said, "We were welcomed by people of these villages. The people particulary women, don't accept the regime and Daesh in these villages. They have chosen and accepted freedom."
