ŞIRNEX - Güçlükonak people opens doors to Şırnak people those who have been displaced forcibly by the state's pressure since winter. Tehra Kaya opens the doors of her pension located near hot spring in Güçlükonak. She said, "We don't need the help of the state. We will dress our wounds together. Our children will bring peace to these lands."

As cities and districts have been burned and demolished by tanks and artillery with genocidal attacks carried in Kurdistan, the people have been forced to be displaced. The citizens, who haven't left their lands against the process of destruction, pillage and ongoing massacre, have migrated to areas close to their lands. Güçlükonak people first opened their doors to Cizre and İdil people and now they are opening the door of the town to Şırnak people.

About 300 families from Şırnak have settled near hot spring in Güçlükonak district of Şırnak. These families and Güçlükonak people exhibit a common life by being in solidarity. The owners of the pensions have supported Şırnak people since winter by destroying the state's displacement policies.

One of the owners of the pension, Tehra Kaya, emphasized that Botan people are sibling. Tehra said, "I stay in Güçlükonak. The people have settled in Güçlükonak since winter due to bans (refer to curfew). We have helped Cizre, Silopi and Şırnak people. We are siblings and we help each other in all cases. Cizre people came to here in winter. We overcome that process in difficult condition. One month later the ban began in Şırnak. Şırnak people have settled here by not leaving their lands. We open the door of pensions to them. Many families are large and they have difficulties; however, they handle the situation. The state hasn't helped them. We share a piece of bread with each other. We don't want the help of the state anymore. We have tried to do our best. These lands belong to all of us. We'll support each other and we'll overcome the process."

"Our children will bring peace to these lands," said Tehra and contined to talk, "Botal have lost many its children since winter. We are trying to dress our wounds together. No families' members are sad for their destroyed homes. Many young people died. We don't want any more bloodshed. We don't want our children die. Our children fought against the pressure and atrocity of the state. Our children will bring peace to these lands. We have difficult times; however, we will live in good days together."
