Citizens tortured, threatened in Lice!

AMED - Women and young people those who gathered in a hamlet near Mahle village of Lice as human shield, were subjected to torture and beat by soldiers. Leyla Kocakaya contacted her family who are in Lice by calling them. She said, "Soldiers told them "Make a fire, throw all into fire". I heard the screams. Women and young people we screamed. I recorded all sounds."
The people in besieged town Lice where operations continue have faced new massacre and genocide. Soldiers have tourtured, insulted and beaten the people in the villages after each clash erupted. Women and young people in village went to a hamlet near Lice's Mahle village as human shield to stop the clash erupted in the morning. The clash was ended just after the people went to there. According to report, after the clash was ended, the soldiers went to village and beat the villagers. We got information from Leyla Kocakaya whose family live in Mahle village. She showed the dimension of the savagery by sharing her phone call with her sister and brother-in-law.
Leyla stated that she called her sister when she learned the situation in Lice. Leyla said, "I asked the situation there to my sister. She said that she couldn't speak and the situation is very bad. Then,the phone shut down. I was worried about them and I decided to call my brother-in-law. He told me the same but not shut down the telephone. I took another phone to record the sound. While I was going to take another phone, soldiers said, "Make a fire, throw all into fire". When I heard that, I felt like stand on end. Then, I continued to listen to them. Children were crying. I recorded all sounds. As I understand from the sound, the soldiers were beating all people."
Leyla stated that women went to clash area in order to end the clash. Leyla said, "The clash area is 100 meters away from the village. Women gathered and went to there in order to end the clash. Soldiers went to village after the clash ended. They beat all people. I also talked to a villager. According to him, the soldiers tortured the people. I listened for about 12 minutes, and then the phone shut down. We cannot reach them since then. It was told us that all of them were detained; however, we don't know if that's true. Some people were seriously wounded in the attack."
I got information from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MP Nursel Aydoğan about the villagers. She stated that she spoke to Governor and she said, "We reported to Governor that the villagers were beaten by soldiers. They told us they would interfere with them. The Governor said that all villagers were detained and they have been taking to Diyarbakır."
Meanwhile, according to reports received, many people have been taken into custody in the Henyat village of Lice."
