ŞIRNEX - Şırnak people those who turn two-storey school into living place in the Nerex village, stated that they have to stay in the school for not go to big cities. They demand the curfew to be lifted as soon as possible.

As genocidal attacks have continued in Şırnak for 111 days, Şırnak people whose have settled in villages, districts and towns temporarily around the city, have maintained their life. Şırnak people, who are trying to overcome the difficulties together, creat a living space for themselves where they go against "displacement policy to metropolises," While some set up tents on waterfronts and in villages, some stay with their relatives, some stay in school like in Nerex village.

Displaced Şırnak people those who have settled in the Nerex (Dağkonak) village of Şırnak, have turned the two-storey building of Dağkonak Elementary School and Dağkonak Secondary School into living space. Totally seven families have been staying in the school. They have turned each class to room and they cook in the garden of the school. The families just want the curfew to be lifted and they return their own lands.

İdê Kılınç stated that they have lived in the school for four months and 15-20 people stay in each room. She said that they have water shortage and want to return Şırnak. Hezer Kılınç is another person, who lives in the school. She stated that they have to stay in the school for not going to metropolises. She said, "We want to return Şırnak. We want to go our homes."
