İnci Hekimoğlu: We can protect ourselves with solidarity

ISTANBUL – Journalist İnci Hekimoğlu has taken over the "Editor-in-Chiefs" launched for solidarity with Özgür Gündem daily. “I hope this solidarity network grows and continues. We can protect ourselves with solidarity.” said İnci by emphazing the necessity of founding a democracy front.
Journalist İnci Hekimoğle has taken over the "Editor-in-Chiefs" launched for solidarity with Özgür Gündem daily on the 64th day. First the team discussed the page layout and content of the newspaper on the agenda meeting. Then, they talked about the news to be published tomorrow. After the meeting, İnci made evaluations about the solidarity campaign. “The rulling power increased the tension before the election on June 7. The dialogue of the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) with Western parts bothered the ruling power. For this reason they tore and threw away the Dolmabahce agreement (Peace process), they developed the hate language and have increased the oppression on Kurds.”
İnci stated that the people those who want freedom are under attacks and she said, “Free press workers, who were exposed to bombs and deaths in 1990s, are being arrested now. Free press workers are tried to be silenced.” İnci stated that the solidarity increases compared to the 1990s and this solidarity bothers the ruling power and as a result the pressure increases.
İnci emphasized that the necessity of founding a democracy front. She said, “I hope this solidarity network grows and continues. We can protect ourselves with solidarity.”
