ŞIRNEX- The Peoples’ Democratic Party( HDP) Antep co-chair Güler Arat visited the resistance tents od Şırnak people with Antep women. “I witnessed the resistance of Şırnak people, those who live in the tents, to be a model to the world.” said Güler.

The Peoples’ Democratic Party( HDP) Antep co-chair Güler Arat visited Şırnak people in the tents with the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Antep Provincial administrators and the Federation of Associations of Solidarity and Legal Aid forFamilies of Prisoners (TUAD-FED) administrators. Güler shared her observations about the visit. Güler began to explain her observations by saying, “Words aren’t enough to explain.” Güler stated that everyone should to come there to understand what is going on there. She said, “My heart was here before I came here. Everyone should listen to these people by coming and seeing here. The people don’t collapse against pillage even though they were forced to leave their homes.”

Güler noted that she is one of the witnesses of Maraş massacre and her family had had to leave their home due to attacks and oppression when she was a child. She said, “We have continued to live in another place. A Sivrice Höyük blow will be broken in Antep because we left there. But, Şırnak people didn’t do what we did. They don’t leave their lands.

Şırnak people welcomed us so nice. They gave us candies on a big tray from their heart. All people should come to these tents and listen to the people here.”

Güler called on all people in the west by saying, “Women can form committees. People can stay in these tents for several day weekly periods. They can organize activities for children. I’ll announce the voice of these people to everyone.”
