SHENGAL -13 Êzidî women on Mount Shengal graduated from "Martyr Zevin" organized by "Martyr Xanê Training Academy". The objective of the 13 Êzidî women, who joined the YJŞ ranks, is to save women those who abducted by ISIS gangs.

ISIS gangs attacted Shengal on August 3, 2014. They massacred residents and kidnapped thousands of women and children to sell as "slaves." After the attack, Êzidî women, who have joined the self-defense forces on Mount Shenagl, have increased everyday. These women, who have sworn to avenge Êzidî women and people, have fought against gangs by taking part in war after getting training. 13 Êzidî women on Mount Shengal graduated from "Martyr Zevin" organized by "Martyr Xanê Training Academy". These women have joined the Shengal Women Unite (YJŞ).

One of these women Ronahi Rojhat stated that they will never forget the atrocity of ISIS. Ronahi noted that she trained herself both ideological and military as Êzidî woman. Ronahi said, "I needed such a training to liberate women and children those who are taken captive by ISIS gangs. We will never forget the massacre we faced. I cannot forget the small babies were killed for no reason." Ronahi stated that her objective is to save women who are being taken captive by ISIS and Ronaji called on all Êzidî people to join the YJŞ and YBŞ (Shengal Resistance Units).

Another fighter woman Ekin Avareş stated that she decided to join the resistance of Shengal after the massacre. She said, "We experienced a terrible massacre, we won't forget that until die. My objective was to join the YJŞ ranks and I did. Now, my objective is to rescue our people held captive and protect Êzidî people. I have confidence in myself more after joining the YJŞ.

Beritan Cudi, meanwhile, said, "All Êzidî youth should get this training. The training makes us stronger. We can hinder our enemy by getting training. No one can protect Êzidî people except themselves. I join the YJŞ ranks to avenge Êzidî women and people."
