ISTANBUL- Aysel Koç was subjected to sexual torture by a doctor when she fell sick in the prison. Her lawyer Eren Keskin stated that Aysel was exiled to Sincan Prison after she filed a criminal complaint against the doctor.

Aysel Koç had been arrested in 2012 in Dersim's Ovacık district. She fell sick in the Gebze M Type Closed Prison and she was sent to hospital; however, she was subjected to sexual violence by a doctor in the hospital. The prosecution said that there wasn't any investigation even if Aysel filed a criminal complaint against the doctor. Gebze prison administration exiled Aysel to Sincan Women's Closed Prison in order to prevent Aysel to file a criminal complaint over sexual torture.

Aysel's lawyer Eren Keskin went to Sincan and talked to Aysel. Eren Keskin said, "Aysel went to Darıca Farabi Hospital for Gynecological examination. First, she was subjected to ill-treatment by doctor. Aysel told the doctor the tool he used was dirty and demanded to change it. The doctor named Cemal Yeşilyurt used sexual torture by putting the tool into Aysel vagina. Aysel took out the tool and she fainted due to excessive bleeding."

Eren said that Aysel demanded soldiers to go out during the examination; however, the soldiers waited behind the curtain, "The soldiers shouldn't have stayed in the room. This is actually a harassment." said Eren and she expressed that Aysel regards what she faced as sexual torture. "Every attack on women's body is sexual assault." said Eren. Aysel was exiled to another prison in order to prevent Aysel to file a criminal complaint.

Eren also stated that Aysel has been sent to seven different prisons for four years and she has been subjected to torture by imposing such applications.
