KOBANÊ –The First Women Teachers Conference of the Democratic Society Education Committee is being held in Kobanê.

The First Women Teachers Conference is being held in Kobanê by the Democratic Society Education Committee with the motto, “Free Women Free Society”. 250 female teachers from Sirîn, Kobanê and Girê Spî have attended the conference.

Members of the Kobanê Education Council Şêrîn Xelîl and Merwa Ilyas; Kobanê President of the Executive Council Nesrîn Kenan; President of the Women's Council Emîne Bekir; Member of the Legislature Feîze Ebdî and President of the Sports Council Elmaz Romî have also attended the conference.

The photographs of the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and women whose who lost their lives in Kobanê resistance have been hanged in the conference hall. The opening speech was made by Rodîn Mihidîn, member of the drafting committee. Women will talk about the system of education and their organization in the conference.
