Death toll rises to 6 in Efrîn

EFRİN – Turkish army attacked the border villages in the Raco district of Efrîn. Five Erka Xweparastine (Self-Defence Forces) members and one Asayish member have been died and at least six people have been wounded in the attack.

According to Hawar News Agency (ANHA), the Turkish army attacked the border village Surkê of Efrîn’s Raco district with howitzers, mortar shells, tank and heavy weapons yesterday at 6 p.m. Five Erka Xweparastine (Self-Defence Forces) members and one Asayish member have been died and at least six people have been wounded in the attack.

Civilians tried to take wounded Erka Xweparastine members from the area; however, Turkish army attacked the civilians and wounded many civilians. As Turkey’s aerial activity of reconnaissance aircraft is ongoing in the region, the YPG Media Center released a statement yesterday and said the occupying Turkish army had attacked YPG positions in Kobani and Derik on Tuesday where one YPG fighter was martyred and another wounded.
