ANKARA - The Ministry of National Education has suspended 11,500 teachers for “being supporters of the PKK” following the order of Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım.

The Ministry of National Education announced that 11,500 teachers have been suspended for “being supporters of the PKK” following the speech of Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım in Diyarbakır.

Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said in his speech in Diyarbakır: “It is estimated that there are about 14,000 teachers who work this area and link with terror. However, how many of them are directly linked to the terrorist organization will be emerged after the investigation.
