TIL TEMIR – Rojava women have begun the preparation for winter. As women from different community have made their preparation according to their culture, the women also take measures against embargo imposed due to the attacks of gangs.

Rojava women, who have begun the preparation for winter, have prepared tomato sauce, dried vegetables such as peppers, eggplants and okra. Ebla Dawê lives in Tiltemir city of Cizîr Canton. She said there was an embargo imposed on Rojava, “Everything is very expensive due to the embargo. Therefore, we are preparing for winter now. We press the tomatoes and wait the juice of tomato under sun. After waited under the sun for several days, we pack the tomato sauce in a jar. I also dried vegetables and prepared pickles. All women in Rojava are making their preparation for winter. Assyrian, Syriac and Arabic women do their preparation for winter according to their culture.”
