AMED – As “curfew” in Sur has entered in the 10th month, the destruction in sieged four neighborhoods continue.
The curfew, which declared in the Sur district of Diyarbakır on December, 2, 2015, has left behind its 10 month. The siege has continued despite the announcement “operation ended” on March 9. The photographs of Sur, where 103-day resistance was carried out, show the destruction in the town. The besieged four neighborhoods have been blown down since March. A large part of Hasırlı, Cemal Yılmaz, Savaş and Fatihpaşa neighborhoods has already been pillaged.
As police and surveillance cameras posts have been built in the Fatihpaşa Neighborhood, the houses around Paşa Bath in Savaş Neighborhood are not collapsed yet. Sur people think police is trying to hide something. The destruction around the Four-legged Minaret has continued. The only building that stands up in this area is Şex Muhattar Mosque.
While the restoration of Kurşunlu Mosque has continued for months, there isn’t any restoration in destroyed churches.
All buildings in Hasırlı Neighborhoods have been blown down in the Hasırlı Neighborhood except the trees.
