WAN – As women support the campaign titled, “I claim my Leadership, Land, and Freedom” launched by the KJA, they state they will continue their works despite the bans.
The KJA (Free Women’s Congress) Van organization has continued their works for the campaign titled, “I claim my Leadership, Land, and Freedom” and women support the campaign. The women noted that they would continue to carry out the works of six-month campaign despite the bans and they would raise their struggle. The women have continued to gather despite the bans imposed by Governorate.
Member of Peace Mothers Zekiye Kaya stated that the struggle of women couldn’t be broken. She said, “The meeting of women should be recognized by the Governorate. Our campaign will continue more three-months. Nobody can prevent us to gather even though the governorate doesn’t accept women to gather. If we listened to the governor, he would tell us to stay at home. We will continue the campaigns and to carry out our works.”
Zekiye also reacted to the video, which shows a female guerrilla is tortured, on social media and she said, “We will work against the people, who display women’s bodies. We don’t accept displaying of women’s bodies. They displayed Ekin Wan’s body and now they do the same to Saime Avşin. We, as women, will display those who display women’s bodies. We will never surrender while our leader place emphasis on the women. We won’t be free without the freedom of our leader.”
Behice Abi stated that women would continue their struggle in each area and they would continue their struggle for the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Behice said, “Our struggle for our land, leader and women will continue. We will not recognize the bans; we will fight for women in war and our bodies.
