Diyarbakır Governorate bans the protest through a mass closing of shutters throughout the city. The statement of the Governorate is as follows; "The shops in our city have been banned from closing their shutters in compliance with Article 32 of the Misdemeanor Law. Any person acting contrary to the order will be issued an administrative fine of 100 Turkish Lira.”
