AMED – Sebahat Tuncel, arrested earlier today in front of the Diyarbakır Courthouse, has been transported to the Anti-Terror Branch of the police department.

Sebahat Tuncel, general co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), headed to the Diyarbakır Courthouse today along with the people of the city to protest the arrests and detentions of the general co-chairs and parliamentary representatives of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP). Sebahat was assaulted and arrested outside the courthouse. She has now been transported to the Anti-Terror Branch of the police department, after having initally been dispatched to the Security Branch along with the other protestors from the DBP.
