ISTANBUL – The JINHA News Spot Vigil, a solidarity action begun after JINHA was shut down by statutory decree, continues today at the Istanbul LGBTI Association.

The state of emergency government in Turkey ordered the closure of JINHA on October 29 by statutory decree. In response, women’s organizations and groups began the JINHA News Spot Vigil in solidarity with JINHA. The vigil, now in its third day, continued at the Istanbul LGBTI Association, where JINHA staff are working and covering the news from a desk set up for them at the association.
