NEWS CENTER– Women’s Coalition made a statement regarding the ongoing process and said, “We stand up for our future, hope, equality and democracy. We are here.”
 
While many academics and teachers have been detained after the attempted coup on July 15, many newspapers, news agencies, channels and radio stations have been shut down. Lastly, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chairs Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş and the party MPs were detained and have been imprisoned. While women’s anger raises against ongoing situation, the Women’s Coalition expressed their reactions with following words;
 
“It’s time for the coalition. All of us are under attack. They want to put us into a huge, colorless and misshapen mass. They will do that. We are here with all our colors, faith and hope. We stand up for each other. We stand up for our future, hope, equality and democracy.”
