Acun Karadağ issued a call text before the sit-in protest and said, “All laws in the world say seek your rights. They shut down my way to seek my rights by banning all judicial remedies. They didn’t leave me any other way. I will sit in front of my school until I take back my job, bread and students. Rain, mud snow can make me sick. You already know I am suffering from rheumatoid. Never mind. An expectation that will not harm anyone… I will sit on pavement for which I pay the tax.”
Acun’s daughter wrote on social media and said, “My mother Acun Karadağ is a teacher for 20 years and she would ask her job back by sitting in front of her school, where she had worked for nine years before being suspended. She was detained with six-seven people before shouting a slogan or unfurling a banner by riot police.”
