MÊRDÎN – The appointed trustee to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality has been protested by women’s institutions of the municipality. While the women are launching a strike action, four municipal employees have been detained.

Following appointment trustee to the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, police searched the Department of Women’s Policies. All departments of the municipality have joined the strike action. All employees of the Transportation Department, Culture and Social Affairs Department, Environmental Protection and Control Department and Department of Women’s Policies, have decided to stop all works.

Meanwhile, municipal employees Mehmet Ali Dağ, Meltem Aslan, Haşim Apak and Yusuf Erdal have been detained.
