KOBANÊ – Rojava women's organization Yekîtiya Star is continuing women's organizing meetings in the city of Kobanê. The group held two women's meetings in different neighborhood of the city, where women are largely living in ruins after the Daesh assault razed their homes.

The group held meetings in the neighborhood of Şehit Kawa, to the east of the city, and the neighborhood of Şehit Xebat, in western Kobanê. Women in the meetings debated women's practice and role in the neighborhood assemblies that are beginning to be reformed in the city.

"Rojava women have won great victories in all areas of life, chiefly in military life. In the Kobanê resistance, history was written, which echoed around the world," said Nesrîn Mihemed, of Yekîtiya Star, explaining the importance of women's organizing meetings in the city.
