NEWS CENTER – After neighborhood racists called the police on a group of children having a pool party in McKinney, Texas, police violently attacked a 14-year-old girl and other Black children.
A group of children was celebrating the end of the school year with a pool party when two adults began shouting racist slurs at them. The adults, who spat in the children's faces and attempted to violently chase them from the pool, called the police. Despite the fact that the children were neighborhood residents, the adults claimed that they "did not belong there."
Nine units were dispatched to break up the pool party. In the video, police can be seen to particularly chase after Black children, despite the fact that there were children from several races at the party. Police emerge from their patrol cars with batons drawn running after, cursing at and handcuffing the children.
One 14-year-old girl in a bathing suit, Dajerria Becton, can be seen crying for her mother when a police officer pulls her by her hair and slams her to the ground. The police officer also pointed a loaded weapon at the girl and her friend. The office, Eric Casebolt, has reportedly been placed on paid leave.
