NEWS CENTER - Turkish soldiers have shot and killed two women after firing on a group trying to cross the border.

According to local reporters from ANHA, the shooting took place last night at around 11 p.m. at the village of Girê Sor, west of Girê Spî (Tel Abyad). When a group of civilians (mostly Arab in origin) tried to cross the Syrian-Turkish border from the autonomous Rojava region into Turkey, Turkish soldiers opened fire on the group.

Two women have been killed and nine people have been injured in the attack. Locals and Rojava Asayiş defense forces transported the wounded to the Emel Hospital in the Kobanê. Doctors reported that three of the wounded are in serious condition. There is no word from four people in the group.
