AGIRÎ - The people of the Diyadin district of Turkey's Ağrı province gathered for a mass ceremony for two boys killed by a police special operations team.

In the Diyadin district of Turkey's eastern Ağrı province, a police special operations team executed two young boys--15-year-old Muhammet Aydemir and 16-year-old Orhan Aslan--in the bakery where they worked. An unknown third person was also killed in the night of police terror.

After autopsies of the boys' bodies in a nearby city, they were returned to Diyadin. A convoy of thousands escorted the bodies to the city's Central Mosque for religious rites. The crowd carried the coffins on their shoulders and held a funeral ceremony at the city's ceremony. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) representatives and the local co-mayors were among the hundreds in attendance to honor the two boys.
