AMED - Yesterday, Turkish soldiers again closed off access to the district of Silvan.

Last week, Turkish forces launched a massive attack on the largely Kurdish town of Silvan. Soldiers cut off access to the district. Telephone and Internet were cut during the attack. Large parts of the town are in ruins in the wake of the assault.

Yesterday, soldiers again shut down roads to the Silvan district. Police and soldiers began deploying with support from helicopters flying overhead. Several explosions occurred one after another in the Boşat neighborhood between the hours of 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Sources reported that explosives hidden in the road were the source of the explosions.
