ISTANBUL - Police attacked a peace demonstration in the Gazi neighborhood of Istanbul last night.

Yesterday evening, the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) called for an action in the Gazi neighborhood of Istanbul. "As long as no one says no to war, people will go on dying," read the banner at the march. As police attempted to stop the march, the marchers held a sit-in. Police attacked the sit-in with tear gas and water cannons.
