KOBANÊ - Thousands attended a funeral ceremony for nine YPJ/YPG fighters killed defending Rojava.

Nine YPJ/YPG fighters have been buried in the canton of Kobanê, in the Rojava autonomous region in Syria. The fighters died in clashes near the cities of Serêkaniyê and Kobanê.

Thousands of people gathered for a funeral convoy to the village of Termik. There, a military ceremony was held for the nine members of the YPJ/YPG defense forces. Izet Hemo, the head of the institution for families of martyred fighters in Rojava, spoke at the ceremony. Izet noted that the victories of the revolution were won thanks to the fighters' resistance.
