AMED - The town of Silvan buried 13-year-old child named Fırat Simpil, who was killed in an unexplained explosion yesterday.

Yesterday morning, an unexplained explosion killed 13-year-old child Fırat Simpil. Citizens said that an armored vehicle had been stationed near the site before the explosion occurred. Later that day, the owner of a garden near the site was arrested.

After an autopsy in the nearby city of Diyarbakır, Fırat's body was returned to Silvan for burial. Hundreds of people gathered in Silvan for the funeral. After religious rites, Fırat was buried in the Karabehlülbey Mosque cemetery.
