ADANA - Women came together in Uğur Mumcu Square in Adana, Turkey to cycle for International Car-Free Day.
Women organized on social media and came together in Uğur Mumcu Square in Adana, Turkey. They put banners on their bicycles, with messages such as “cycle for peace.” 40 women bicyclists joined the action. Many male bicyclists supported their activity.
Ezo Üge organized the activity.
“We are cycling wearing fancy clothes because we want to show that one can cycle wearing any clothes, not just sports outfits. We want to see more bikers in traffic and to bring attention to transportation by bicycle. This is why we organized this activity,” she said.
