2 youth shot by police die in hospital

AMED - Two youth shot by police during the ongoing attacks on Kurdish cities in the province of Diyarbakır died in hospital today.
As the Turkish state contines an all-out assault on Kurdish towns and cities, casualties continue. Two young men died today from wounds inflicted in police attacks.
16-year-old Bilal Mengin was shot on September 9, as police assaulted residential neighborhoods in the town of Silvan, in Diyarbakır province. Bilal was shot in the abdomen as he returned home from the soccer field nearly three weeks ago. He died today in an intensive care unit in the city of Batman.
22-year-old Agit Yıldız was shot yesterday in the town of Bismil, also in Diyarbakır province, as police declared a curfew and attacked the town. Agit was rushed to hospital, but died today from gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg.
Meanwhile, in the province of Hakkari, it emerged that the individual killed in a police extrajudicial execution in the Hakkari town center last night was Bedri Karaca, a member of the HPG guerrilla forces. Bedri’s family has set out for the town to retrieve their son’s body.
