KOBANÊ - Resistance of Kobanê has made a tremendous impression all over the world, and the resistance has still continued. Women of Kobanê are giving self-defense education to protect themselves against any assaults.

Yekîtiya Star Union of Women started to give weapon training to women who lives in the Şehit Xebat neighborhood. Bêrivan Muhemed, member of the Yekîtiya Star, called attention to importance of self-defense education for women.

“If women defend themselves, nobody defend them. Self-defense is like a breath for women,” Bêrivan said.

Women of Kobanê are glad to give this education. The women said that they do not need to men’s backing. They will struggle against migration policies.
