ISTANBUL - Solidarity Network Against Censorship wrote a report about censorship and attacks to media in September. They wrote in their report that 35 journalists were take into custody, and one was arrested in September.

In the Solidarity Network Against Censorship’s report, state forces’ attacks and censorship have still continued intended for media increasingly. In their report, they said that media employees and journalists were also exposed to physical assaults.

Assaults in September in the report are in the following:

“Police forces attacked two journalists. They also abducted two journalists and threatened them. Hürriyet Newspaper was attacked. Journalist Ahmet Hakan was attacked. Police forces raid on two media institutions. 35 journalists were take into custody. One journalist arrested. Foreign national three journalists were deported. Dicle News Agency has been blocked in September. DIHA was censored 21 times.”
