Calling all women to the streets to end violence against women

AMED - KJA(Independent Women's Congress) in Diyarbakir protested the murder of Selemat Yeşilmen. They are calling all women to the streets to prevent and end violence and massacre against women.

KJA in Diyarbakir made a statement to the press concerning about the murder of Selemat Yeşilmen(killed by police during the curfew in Nusaybin). The co-mayor of Diyarbakir Metropolitan Municipality Gültan Kışanak, the co-mayor of Yenişehir Municipality Ülkü Baytaş,the co-chair of HDP Gülşen Özer and many women joined the press briefing. They shouted slogan such as "Selemat Yeşilmen was killed." "The state is killing the women." " The murder of women is political."

The women are killed by snipers
Zübeyde Zümrüt, an activist of KJA, said "Selemat Yeşilmen who was pregnant,was killed by snipers and the murders are free now. They not only kill the women, they also insult and curse to women."

Zübeyde said " We are calling all women to the streets on November 25 to prevent and end violence and massacre against women."
