AMED - Many people gathered in Sur the district of Diyarbakır.with the call of the Diyarbakır Bar Association to protest the attacts to The Four Columns Minare. The police opened fire to people.

Tahir Elçi,Chairman of Diyarbakir Bar Association was wounded the result of fire opened by police. Tahir Elçi was taken to Hospital but he lost his life on the way to Hospital.

Medical Chamber and the officials of Selahattin Ayyubid Research Hospital confirmed that Tahir Elçi lost his life.
