AMED - Democratic Party of Regions(DBP) Diyarbakır Provincial Organization announced they would issue a press statement relating to the murder of Tahir Elçi today.

In a written statement, it is wroten , " Today,Diyarbakir Bar Association lawyers made a statement about the destroying of The Four Columns Minare. After the statement, police opened fire to people and Tahir Elçi,Chairman of Diyarbakir Bar Association was killed. Our party, HDP and civil society institutions will issue a press statement today."

Anatolia News Agency reporter Aziz Aslan and five people were wounded during the fire. They were taken to Selahattin Ayyubid Research Hospital.
