AMED - After the completion of the autopsy of Tahir Elçi,Diyarbakır Bar Association members made a statement, " The attack is against human rights and lawyers, sorry for our loss."

Tahir Elçi was shot by a bullet in the head.while Diyarbakır Bar Association and people made a statement to draw attention to historical building 'The Four Columns Minare' which has been destroyed by the bullets. His autopsy was completed in Selahattin Ayyubid Research Hospital. Two lawyers of the Management of the Diyarbakır Bar Association and Diyarbakır Medical Chamber representatives attended to the process of autopsy. After the process, Member of the Board of Diyarbakir Bar Association,Cihan İpek made a statement in front of the morgue. He said, " Our bar president attended the news release to draw attention to the destruction of historical monuments. He was massacred. He was a precious human rights defender and jurist. He is very known in Turkey and in the World. The autopsy report shows that he was killed with a single bullet shot in the head.We are sorry.""We will follow this attact", said Cihan.

Tahir Elçi's body will be buried tomorrow after the dhuhr prayer. His body is still in the morgue.

The Co-Chairman of HDP,Selahattin Demirtaş, the representative of HDP, Meral Danış Beştaş, Municipality of Diyarbakır co-chairs Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı and the academicians Nükhet Sirman and Nazan Üstündağ are still waiting in front of hospital.
