AMED - The wife of Tahir Elçi, the Head Diyarbakir Bar Association, Türkan Elçi spoke at the funeral. Türkan said, " He was saying that I submited a petition today, my international travel ban was lifted, I can travel throughout the seas and continents now."

Türkan drew attention that Tahir Elçi scrambled legally for unidentified murders in 90's. She said, "The unidentified murders would meet him there. They would say you that we watched you from here. You dedicated your life for us. You defended us, who would defend you now? He would reply as 'I have my wife and my friends behind me who think like me'."

Türkan said, "He was saying that I submited a petition today, my international travel ban was lifted, I can travel throughout the seas and continents now."
