After the curfews, health committees establish

ANKARA - One of the frequently encountered problems is right to health which has been blocked by State after the curfews. The wounded people have not been taken to hospital and many of them lost their life. The hospitals have been used as police stations during the curfews. The women who lost their close relatives and their neighbors during the curfews in Cizre, Şırnak, Silopi and Sur, ask to get first aid training and establish the health communes.

Many people were shot by snipers durind the curfews in izre, Nusaybin, Silvan and Silopi could not have been taken to Hospitals so they lost their life. The Free Women Congress (KJA)members Şükran Yalçın, Ayfer Şahin and Sebahat Onar talked to women after the curfews in Cizre, Şırnak and Sur. They said, " Women who lost their relatives and their neighbors, ask to get first aid training and establish the health communes."

Women who become a symbol of resistance, said, " We can not go to Hospital. What we can do if we do not know anything. We must learn first aid, we must learn how we can protect us and how we can treat when someone wounded and prevent them to not die from the loss of blood."

'Women want to get first aid training'

The Free Women Congress (KJA)members Şükran Yalçın who was with the women during the curfew in Cizre said, " There is not any transportation to Hospitals, The hospitals are blockaded, the healthcare staffs are killed or they are threatened during the curfews. Women came to us and they told us they can not go hospitals and they want to get first aid training."

'The creating the health centers have been needed'

The Şırnak KJA member Ayfer Şahin said, " The creating the health centers have been needed to not relive the same situation and this demande came from the women. As women we are most exposed to violence, we are exposed to violence from the men and the State then we have to protect ourselves. We were exposed to State's abuse and rape in 80's. The self-defence is needed the most for women.
