The Parliamentary inquiry: The sexual torture in Urfa Police Station

ANKARA - The HDP Urfa representative Dilek Öcalan asks the sexual torture in Urfa police station to Efkan Ala,the Minister of Interior with a parliamentary question.

14 people was arrested in Siverek district of Urfa. They had sexual tortures in the police station. The HDP Urfa representative Dilek Öcalan raises a question this issue to the Parliament. The detainees gave statement to Office of the Prosecutor. They said in their statements that they were waited standing as reverse handcuffed and blindfolded and the police abused the women and they told the women " We would strip you and hang you here, everyone who pass from here could do whatever they want with you." The police tortured them with physical and verbal violence.

She asks to Efkan Ala, the Minister of Interior the questions below in the parliamentary question;

Did your ministry give a written or oral instructions to Şanlıurfa TEM Branch to bring the detainess there? If not, why did they bring them to Şanlıurfa TEM Branch?

What are the position of the staff who torture in Şanlıurfa TEM Branch?

Who give the instructions to them? Does your ministry have a instructions about that?

Are they a special team bring from outside of Şanlıurfa?

Have you launched an investigation about this physical and verbal violence which is contrary to international treaties and agreements? If not, Why hasn't the investigation been launched yet?
