The curfew was declared on December 2 in Sur district of Diyarbakır and ultil now three people have been killed under the attacks and blockade. 28 people have been wounded and they can not taken to hospital because of the blockade. The people of Diyarbakır have protested the blockade since December 2. 16 Peace Mothers have been in Sur as human shields. The 16 Peace Mothers who have been the witness to all attacks talked to JinhaNews.
There are the sounds of guns and bombs for 9 days
Emine Özbek ,the Councillor of Peace Mother said, " We don't want the war,we ask for the peace. We have been here for nine days. No ones can go out from their house. The people are marching against the blockade as they exercise their democratic rights but they(Turkish police) don't allow them. They wound one of our youth. We can not sleep. There isn't tranquility anymore. They always attacks. We call all people to open their eyes.
The responsibles of these massacres are who remain silent to massacres
Emine said, " We came in Sur before the declaration of the curfew to be on duty. We heard the declaration of the curfew in the morning but we decided to stay here. The State has attacked to Sur with bombs, weapons, tanks and helicopters. They bombed the Kurşunlu mosque but then they claim that Sur people did it. But we are witnesses that the State and its forces bombed the mosque. That's enough, don't close your eyes and ears to the massacre here. The responsibles of these massacres are who remain silent to massacres.
Support and give a sound to our resistance
Emine said, " After the bombing of the historical Kurşunlu Mosque, all historical buildings have been targeted. You say you are "muslim", you are preaching and you talk about "the humanity" but you don't have anything which you say. If you don't accept us, go from inside us. The Kurds are not on the ragged edge and never take steps backward. Many of Mothers are sick, they are not able to lift their heads. I call everone to protect Sur. Don't stay at your home, go out for Sur. If the blockade is being continued, the massacre will be terrible. Everyone must put their hands under the stone before experiencing more massacre."
The last sentence of 16 Mothers is " We always resist and we will continue to resist."
