AMED - Our reporter Beritan Canözer has been kept under surveillance for 48 hours. The police department said, " Beritan Canözer was found suspect because 'she was excited'. 24 hours more detention period was asked for Beritan.

Jinha reporter Beritan was taken into custody under colour of 'reasonable doubt' on December 16 while she followed the protest against the blockade in Sur. Beritan has been hold in Diyarbakir Police Department TEM Branch for 48 hours. 24 hours more detention period was asked for Beritan.

Although it is known she is journalist, Beritan was taken into custody under colour of 'reasonable doubt'. The questions which were asked by polices contain scandalous statements.

Beritan told the police "I am reporter and I am covering news". The police department said Beritan that you were very excited while you were detained.
