AMED – Three people were shot and killed in Sur where the curfew has been imposed for 23 days. The police closed the spot. 2 wounded people are still on the street.

The co-chairs of the DTK, HDP, DBP, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality and other municipalities and representatives started vigil in Sur. After funeral ceremony of Serhat Doğan, the mass went to join the co-chairs in Melikahmet. The police attacked the mass with tear gas, water cannon. 3 people were shot and killed by police in the attack near the historical city walls. The eyewitnesses said the three people’s bodies were taken to hospital but still there are two wounded people on the ground.

Selma Irmak, the co-chair of the DTK, Emine Ayna, the co-chair of the DBP, Sibel Yiğitalp, the HDP Diyarbakır representative and many other co-chairs tried to go to on the spot but they have not got any information because of the barricades. The police have not allowed the people come close the area. The women went to the scene by carrying a white cloth and they asked to take the body on the ground but the police told them “If you come here, we will open fire to you.”
