AMED – The police attacked the people who marched to break the blockade in Sur. The conflicts begin in Koşuyolu while the elected officials are marching to Sur.

The curfew has been imposed in Sur district of Diyarbakır for 27 days. The people of Diyarbakır gathered to break the blockade again, the police prevented them. Hatip Dicle and Selma Irmak, the co-chairs of the DTK(The Democratic Society Congress), Kamuran Yüksek , the co-chair General President of the DBP, Sebahat Tuncel, the co-spokesperson of the HDK and the people of Diyarbakır wanted to march but the police prevented them. The mass went out of the Park by shouting slogans such as ‘We will win by resisting’, ‘ Viva the leader APO’ but the police did not allow them to march. The mass broke the police’s obstacle and continued to march. The police attacked them with tear gas and water cannon. The conflicts broke out in Koşuyolu. The elected officials are marching to Sur.
