WAN – Our reporter Vildan Atmaca was detained while she was covering news. She has been evacuated. Vildan’s colleagues gave support by participating the trial.

Vildan was detained on november 13 in Erciş district of Van while she was covering the news. Vildan was referred to a court and she was accused to ‘ making terrorist propaganda"’ because she posted Arin Mirkan photo,the YPJ fighter on social media. The first trial of Vildan was taken place in Erciş Criminal Court.Vildan, her lawyers, her colleagues and the members of the assembly of Mothers for Peace attended to trial to support Vildan.

Vildan said, “I demand my acquittal’. Sabahattin Kaya, the lawyer of Vildan, said, “ Posting a photo of a woman from the YPJ is not a crime.”

The Court decided to evacuate Vildan the next trial was postponed to January 21,2016.
