AMED – Ignoring the freedom demands of Kurdish people means ignoring the democracy demands of Turkish people, said Selma Gürkan, the general president of the Emek Party and she said, “The people must appropriate the declaration of self-rulements. Supporting and appropriating are not enough we must resist with Kurdish people against reactionism in Turkey.

We need to resist with Kurdish people

The will of Kurdish political movement is important. The demands of the Kurdish people is wanted to make invisible in the atmosphere created by the government, said Selma. She continued to say, “We know that the demands of Kurdish people such as language, political status, Identity and govern themselves can be the base of the solution.These demands are important for democratization of Turkey. We must not only appropriating and supporting the demands of Kurdish but also must resist wiht Kurdish people against reactionism in Turkey in order to build our common future together.”

Declaring a war against Kurdish people actually means declaring it against the whole community

This war was declared against Kurdish people but not only against the Kurdish people, it was declared against the struggle of democracy, said Selma. She said, “The partisan media or non-partisan media are the spokesmen of the government's black propaganda. The effects of these black propagandas in the West are big, but this does not mean we do not have anymore news what is going on now.We know there are deaths of children, women and civilians massacres.We have to see the massacres and resist against them.”
